        Mt. Saint Helens • 1980

The mountain talks

     from deep inside her belly

Her breath so foul and full of power

With one exhale blow

she can cover the human race

in only one rock and ash shower

She will

     before mankind will succeed

     to poison Mother Earth

She has and can survive without us

She leaves the animals

to live in harmony and peace

she knows I am a wolf

                                     disguised
